Can anyone living in Chile give me their thoughts on their favorite type of transportation?

I think that driving a vehicle of ones own is always the best form of transport, but if traveling far, it only makes sense to take a train or a plane. I wonder if there are any trains in Chile? Probably does. I have never been to the country, but I can tell that the place is pretty big.
