Santiago has a new, innovative language institute opening soon! Classes will begin in April. We offer excellent pay, performance bonuses, and unlike most English Institutes, we offer job security throughout the year. All of our locations boast deluxe, professional classrooms, with state-of-the-art materials and designs! If you are interested in teaching with us, or for more information, send your resume to empleo@aeichile.cl. All teachers must be native English speakers.

Ano daw? I mean what was that Jacinto? Well if I may ask, what if I am interested in applying for a teaching position in your company or school rather, would you be responsible for my travel expenses? See, I am living somewhere from from your country and I happen to be searching for a teaching job. I am quite good at English. I hope you can reply on my post.

The requirement that English has to be your native language is quite restrictive. I hold the view that this could still be your second language and you could still be good at it.Kira, it seems the job would favor those around Chile. Though they are talking about excellent bonuses, I doubt they will be able to cater for your travel expenses. I would say I am quite good in English too.

Well I am just wondering because there are lots of foreign employers that are taking the responsibilities of their employees travel expense, or for some they just deduct it to their hired employees. I am just curious though I am wide aware of the fact that those companies might prefer their local people (for financial aspect ofcourse), just trying my luck.
Well Jacinto might have posted in English, Thanks anyway

I do think Jacinto is as well making his application. I agree you are making a really important point and in that case it is useful to get all the details in advance rather than rush for the said job only to realize there were terms and conditions that applied. It seems then that posting resumes in this forum would not really help; isn't there a specified email?

Preferably, native english speakers are required at the Ameristar English Institute, in Santiago, Chile. It is always good to see foreign countries that are really taking up such an interest in these practices, as this seemingly small world is truly a very big place and it most definitely has very much to offer, from culture to culture.
Comment #7 Eve (63.176.159.37) - 11/13/09 09:01
By the way, if I were a qualified English teacher I would certainly consider this offer. Very much so.
Comment #8 Eve (63.176.159.97) - 11/17/09 12:04
I am a qualified teacher, however, but only in things such as 3D modeling and texturing, as well as in graphic design, as I had studied, Game Art and Design in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Art Institute that is located over at Eisenhower Boulevard.

I guess that no one is interested in us old, "washed up" artists anyway. haha... I am sure that one day I would be able to find my career path in front of my very own eyes, once more. It would be all up to me to grab at the opportunity, and to take full advantage with a stern approach towards my demeanor.

What does one have to say about this? Surely, I am not the only one to comment from now, on.

I can see that you are the only one who continuously posting messages here. Good thing i drop by to break the chain. I heard that teaching English on country like Chile is one of the best jobs ever. If you happen to be still studying, you can try doing the teaching job part time. This way, you can manage to still study and at the same time earn some money.
Comment #12 Eve (63.176.159.218) - 01/01/10 15:01
Thanks for the info Wendy.. I may really consider going to Chile in order to teach, but I would need to get some lessons in Spanish first.
Comment #13 smithy (63.176.159.202) - 01/25/10 19:50
surely, when going to any country that speaks a foreign language, we would have to learn their language.

"ENGLISH TEACHER"
To Whom It May Concern:As an American expat and TEFL certified English Teacher who has recently returned to Santiago with plans to stay indefinetly, I am currently seeking a teaching position.
I have over one year's worth of experience teaching English here in Santiago.
Please tell me how I can submit my resume in order to be considered for a teaching position with Ameristar English Institute.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Michele Harvey

"BAD PLACE"
Do not support this business. I flew all the way from America to Chile because I was promised a job and when I got there they had no work for me. Nicholas Prewitt is a disrespectful man who does not deserve to operate a business. Stay away from this institute.
